Anomaly B is a very large regional magnetic and gravity anomaly sits directly below the Prairie Downs Fault and roughly half way between the Areas of Prairie/Wolf and African Hunting Dog prospects. Previous operators have attempted to drill this anomaly twice, losing the drill hole prior to reaching the target on both occasions. Marindi Metals has had the data reinterpreted and confirmed that the drilling has failed to test the anomaly with the top of the feature located about 500m below surface and the deepest drill hole only drilled to 380m depth.
Consulting geologists CSA global postulated that this is likely the intrusive heat source responsible for mineralisation seen along the fault, however it is also possible that, given the tectonic setting, it represents an Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) target (Olympic Dam etc.) with the Prairie and Wolf mineralisation representing proximal mineralisation. Anomaly B is a high priority conceptual target.
